Controlling Boyfriend Refuses To Pay His Girlfriend Rent Because She Won't Put His Name On The Mortgage

Money is what makes the world go around. It's also the factor that could make or break many relationships. People could be in the most loving relationships, and yet when they get more serious and money comes up, it might be what ultimately brings a previously rock-solid relationship to come crashing down. Even though money is always awkward to talk about, it's necessary for serious couples who want to move forward in their relationships to talk about it. Unfortunately, not all couples will survive the money talk. In today's 'Am I the A$$hole?' post, OP told us about her generous father offered to pay the down payment on a house that was out of her budget. Her boyfriend is following her to the town she's moving to, but refuses to pay rent to live with her if his name isn't on the mortgage, even though it's something that she worked out with her dad and he didn't pay the mortgage at all.
